Giving at World Harvest Community Center

Here at World Harvest Community Center, we teach and encourage everyone to grow in their spiritual walk. Part of that walk includes trusting God with everything we have including our finances. Giving is the only area in the Bible where God invites us to test Him. Give your tithe to God and see if He does not open the floodgates of heaven to bless you in ways that you never dreamed possible. (Malachi 3:10)

World Harvest Community Center is now offering a more convenient way to stay faithful in giving your tithe by offering Secure Give. Many churches are beginning to offer this service and have found that those who use the service enjoy the convenience of always knowing that they are consistently supporting the church and their promise to God to be faithful in their giving.

Electronic Options

Option 1: Lobby Kiosk

Our Secure Give Kiosk is available in the church lobby. You can make an anonymous gift or register for recurring, scheduled contributions. Whether you’d like to give a single gift, schedule ongoing donations or view your giving history, you can do it all in the kiosk. It’s quick, easy and secure.

Option 2:  Online

Online giving is available for one-time gifts or for recurring, scheduled contributions as well, from the comfort of your home or smartphone.  It uses the same technology as our Secure Give kiosk. Just visit from our church web page or directly by going to https://app.securegive.com/whccny

Benefits to Giving Electronically.

There are several benefits to electronic giving for both you and WHCC.  Some of them are:

  • Faithfully Honoring God  – When you sign up to give electronically, you are deciding in advance to faithfully give. God always blesses that kind of faith! The Bible teaches that we are to honor God with the “First Fruits” of our labor (Proverbs 3:9). By setting up a recurring contribution that is scheduled to come out of your account on the day you specify, you can ensure that your First Fruits are faithfully given back to God.

  • Simplicity – You won’t have to remember whether you gave this month or send in an offering by mail when you’re on a trip.

  • Security – We utilize an encrypted secure program for your records. Electronic giving is more secure than giving with a check or cash because an electronic gift can’t be lost or stolen.

  • Focus – Instead of having to worry about writing a check and filling out an envelope during the service, you can be fully focused on the worship service, knowing that you have already given your offering.

Annual Statements

Whether you give at the kiosk, online or by envelope, you have the assurance that that your contributions are recorded by the administrative offices for the benefit of your year end contribution statements.

Online Giving Privacy Policy

Your information is held securely by our ACS and Secure Give systems. This information will remain private and will never be given away to third parties, and use exclusive to process your scheduled contributions.

Cancellations

You can schedule new contributions at any time and can modify or cancel those contributions at any time prior to the date they are scheduled. Once the contribution has been processed, however, it cannot be canceled.

Frequently-Asked Questions

Q: Are electronic contributions risky?

A: No, an electronic contribution is safer than writing a check and it can’t be lost, stolen or destroyed in the mail.

Q: Is there any charge to me from my bank to give online?

A: No, electronic funds transfers carry no bank fees and this service is free to you.

Q: Why not just give at church?

A: Some of our people are extremely faithful and consistent in their giving at church each week. Some also want their physical act of bringing their offerings to be a part of their worship experience. Others prefer to give online as it helps them give more consistently.

Q: Is it easy to change my amounts or to stop giving online?

A: Yes – simply use the same process you used to sign up. It’s quick and almost instant.

Q: How will I receive a receipt for my electronic contributions?

A: Your electronic contributions will be included on your annual statement and mailed to you in the beginning of each year. In addition, all givers may access the “Secure Give” account history as well as make other changes to your profile.

Q: When would the automatic contribution be taken from my account?

A: If you decide to sign up for an automatic contribution, all contributions are processed immediately confirming the contribution. You can choose to give one-time, weekly, semi-monthly, monthly, or as designated. If a date you have selected falls on a weekend or holiday, the transaction will occur on the next business day.

Q: Can I test Secure Give by giving one time, just to see how it works?

A: Yes! By default, all transactions are set up as a one time gift. You will need to select “Recurring Donation” go to the “Manage Recurring” tab to set up a recurring transaction.
